We, Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd., are a shipping company specializing  in the world-wide seaborne transportation of dry bulk cargoes. We were  incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Liberia on November 2, 1988 and  our Class A common stock trades since September 15, 2005 on the New York Stock  Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol "EXM". Prior to that date our Class A common  stock was trading on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) under the same symbol.  We are a provider of worldwide sea borne transportation services for  dry bulk cargo including among others, iron ore, coal and grain, collectively  referred to as "major bulks," and steel products, fertilizers, cement, bauxite,  sugar and scrap metal, collectively referred to as "minor bulks".  The address of our registered office in Bermuda is 14 Par-la- Villa  Road, Hamilton HM JX, Bermuda.  ...
