Eastman Chemical Company ("Eastman" or the "Company") is a global chemical
company which manufactures and sells a broad portfolio of chemicals, plastics,
and fibers. Eastman began business in 1920 for the purpose of producing
chemicals for Eastman Kodak Company's photographic business and became a public
company, incorporated in Delaware, as of December 31, 1993. Eastman has thirteen
manufacturing sites in eight countries that supply chemicals, plastics, and
fibers products to customers throughout the world. The Company's headquarters
and largest manufacturing site are located in Kingsport, Tennessee.
In 2007, the Company had sales revenue of $6.8 billion, operating earnings of
$504 million, and earnings from continuing operations of $321 million. Earnings
